PACQUIAO VS. COTTO: Who do you think will win?On Novembr 14, 2009, Two of the most dangerous fighters in boxing will sqare off in the ring. These two gladiators will be fighting for the WBO Welterweight Crown though they will slug it out at a catchweight of 145 Lbs.
Undoubtedly, Manny Pacquiao is the most popular boxer right now and is being regarded as boxing's no. 1 pound for pound fighter. Miguel Cotto lands at no. 7 on the ratings of the Ring Magazine. To date, Manny's record stands at ( 49W-3L-2D-37KO's) while the Puerto Rican Pride has (34W-1L-27KO's).
Pacquiao's advantages:
- Speed - Manny has one of the fastest hands in boxing, strong combinations & lateral movement.
- Stamina - Pacquiao's work ethic is superb. He trains hard with every fight, thus, making him a human punching machine throughout the whole fight.
Cotto's advantages:
- Power - Miguel packs power on both hands. Whenever you are hit by his timed uppercut (vs. Clottey)or a left hook to the body (vs. Gomes et. al), you will surely hit the canvass.
- Resiliency - Cotto surely can take a punch & can survive from a knockdown. It was evident in his fight with Zab Judah whom he suffered a knockdown but survived & eventually won that fight.
